Man Dies From Apparent Drowning In Lynnfield Pool

An apparent drowning is under investigation after an adult male died in a swimming pool, officials say.

A 911 call reported a possible drowning in a swimming pool on Northway in Lynnfield around 3:45 a.m. on Monday, June 26, according to a joint statement from the Lynnfield Fire and Police Departments. 

First responders arrived at the scene and found an adult male who had apparently drowned in the pool. 

CPR was administered at the scene and the victim was transported to the Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington. Despite all efforts, the man was pronounced dead. 

"The Lynnfield Police and Fire Departments extend our sympathy to the family," the statement read.

Officials do not currently suspect foul play and say there is no danger to the public. 

Lynnfield Police and State Police are investigating the incident.
